The cordless hammer drills/drivers in the Black & Decker HP series are designed primarily for less experienced DIYers. All the functions on the three models in the series are identified by symbols, while a red “in-balance” LED indicates whether the drill is precisely vertical or horizontal. The 9.6 / 12 volt batteries are easily removed from the drill by undoing a single latching mechanism. An LED display indicates the battery capacity.

New bench-mounted saw
The KGT 501 bench-mounted saw can be converted from a disk saw into a circular cross-cut saw or mitre-box saw without any special tool being required. The integral base frame has folding legs and level compensation. A 2100 W induction motor powers the 250 mm saw blade. The range of accessories available includes a slide carriage, table extension, workpiece fixture and dust extractor unit, various saw blades and a blanking laser.

Renovation made simple
Sadolin has developed Solid, an innovative varnish that cares for and maintains susceptible exterior wood surfaces. The special modular structure of the varnish penetrates deep into the wood, and two coats of Solid will offer particularly effective protection against the effects of harsh weather. The varnish comes in twelve shades ranging from birch white to ebony as well as neutral. It is supplied in 0.75 l and 2.5 l packs.
