The manufacturers are for the first time using piezo technology in their “Codelocks 5000 electronic” access control lock. This offers the advantage of a much longer battery life of over 500 000 operations, in comparison with only around 80 000 for a typical electronic push-button lock, according to the company. This system has a potential capacity for 90 different code users and twelve different programs. It also includes a mechanical key override as a standard feature.

Burg-Wächter presents its TSE electronic door lock, a keyless system that functions by means of a numeric code. It takes just a few steps to install it in almost any type of outer or inner door, whether made of wood, plastic, aluminium or steel. It is simply a matter of positioning the casing with the control unit on the door and replacing the mechanical profile cylinder with the electronic one. The competitively priced basic version with its individually selectable numeric code is designed for use as a lock for a single door in a private household. The premium version of the TSE is also suitable as a user-friendly module forming part of a complete keyless security system.
