Wood-effect laminate
Profloor Woodart is the latest product line to have been added to the programme available from the EPI Laminate Flooring Group. The collection consists of small planks measuring 965 mm x 90 mm x 7 mm, all four edges of which have coloured V-grooves. There is a choice of seven natural-looking patterns. The planks are also available in a longer version (1 290 mm x 194 mm).

Sealing in the flavour
Clip & Close from Emsa keeps foods full of flavour, whether they are fresh, dried or frozen – and even liquids can be transported without any danger of spilling. The series has been extended by the addition of 13 more variants. The flavour-seal containers now feature extras such as separate inserts (bottom photo) as well as a draining insert (top photo), which is also suitable for thawing or marinating fish or meat. The transparent material allows the user to see exactly what is inside the container without having to open it up.

Concealed screwed connections
Wolfcraft’s Undercover Jig features diagonally angled drill bushes that mean it is now possible to use concealed screws to connect shelves and uprights. The hole gauge can be pre-adjusted to different board thicknesses and drilling depths. The screw is fixed by means of an extra long bit, then the hole is sealed with the oblique round plug. It is claimed that this new fixing method is in no way inferior to a dowel joint as regards safety.

High drilling power
Bosch claims that the PBS14.4V-i is the first cordless impact drill for DIYers with a drilling power to rival that of mains-operated impact drills. The basis for this has been created by a new high-performance impact mechanism optimised for cordless operation and a NiCd battery with a capacity of 1.5 Ah. Another advantage of the new tool is its lower noise output when drilling compared with other machines – event when impact drilling.

Versatile
Vulcan is a one-handed welding clamp from Gatorclamp that is suitable for working with either wood or metal. The clamp’s jaws are made from heat-treated carbon steel and the copper-plated pads rotate, making it possible to adapt the clamps to a variety of different shapes. Vulcan can be used as a welding clamp, and can also be transformed into a spreading clamp. It is available with a 20 cm opening and up to a 45 cm spreading capacity…
