Measurable tinter
Alpina’s Colorstick has been developed as a new tinting system for Alpinaweiß that can be measured with great accuracy. This makes it possible to achieve exactly the same shade even when mixing a later batch of paint. Instead of using conventional tinters the Colorstick system makes use of a new concentrated formulation, which achieves a greater intensity than previous tinting systems. The 50 ml sticks can be used to mix 56 different colours in three shades each, resulting in a total of 168 possibilities.

Quick assembly
New to the Tox programme is the SDF frame fixing for the installation of façade substructures consisting of timber, metal or wooden beams, etc. in concrete and solid building materials. The company claims that the frame fixings facilitate a quick and efficient push-through installation both indoors and outdoors. The fixing set consists of a matching plug and screw. The screw can be tightened easily and loosened again if necessary. The countersunk head prevents the screw disappearing into the drill hole.

Patented silicone gun
This patented new pneumatic silicone gun is said by the manufacturer to be made of high-grade industrial plastic. The gun is easy to use and features a window on the body to allow the user to see how much silicone is left. It provides a steady flow and, thanks to its internal valve design, will not leak once the application is interrupted. The gun is suitable for use with 300 ml, 310 ml, 330 ml and 400 ml single-component silicone cartridges.

Improved tile drill
Keil has made further improvements to its “Keramik” tile drill bit, which now features the “Rotastop” profile. This new polygonal bit shape results in just a three-point contact with the material to be drilled, which means less friction and consequently a better drilling performance. The fact that the shaft is no longer completely round prevents slippage in the drill chuck and so ensures optimum torque transmission. There is no longer any need for tiresome tension readjustment, according to Keil.
