Hardware fair in the Gulf
Hardware & Tools is due to be staged in Dubai from 14 to 16 May.
The organisers are expecting 262 exhibitors at this year's three-day event, 192 of them from abroad. They will occupy a net space of 2 094 m² at the World Trade Centre in Dubai. The predominant product categories will be hardware, hand and power tools, and wood working machines.
This year again visitors will have the opportunity to get an overview of the products available at three different fairs staged in parallel: Garden Landscaping & Outdoor Living, ISH Kitchen & Bathroom Gulf, and Lightstyle – Gulf Light. The range is geared to wholesalers and retailers, architects and building contractors, and other target groups. Last year saw a total of 14 832 visitors from 40 countries register during the four days of the event.
World of Private Label
PLMA's international trade fair, "World of Private Label", will take place on 30 and 31 May in the RAI Exhibition Centre in Amsterdam. The organisers are reckoning on more than 3 000 fair stands, 100 more than last year, which is the highest number since the fair began. Altogether there will be exhibitors from more than 60 countries, as well as over 30 national and regional pavilions represented at the trade fair.
Expectations exceeded
Euro-Cis 2006, the International Trade Fair for Communications, Information and Security Technology in Retail held in Düsseldorf during February, recorded a total of 181 exhibitors from 14 countries showcasing their companies and products. Altogether 5 100 international trade professionals from all areas of retailing came to the Rhine to get the latest information in their field, according to the organisers – around 600 more than attended the previous event in 2003. The internationality of the visitors has continued to increase, with a good quarter arriving from abroad this year. The majority came from the countries of Europe, but Russia and Ukraine, the USA and Japan were represented as well. Visitors' interest and many exhibitors' displays were focussed on POS technology and checkout innovations.
