The organisers of the Taiwan Hardware Show, which is due to be held in Taipei from 20 – 22 October 2011, are expecting it to be on a much larger scale. The Taiwan Hand Tool Manufacturers’ Association is working on the organisation in cooperation with Kaigo, a subsidiary of Messe Düsseldorf, Germany. More than 350 exhibitors with over 600 stands are expected; there had already been a 23 per cent increase in exhibitor numbers to 233 companies in 2010. In terms of visitors Kaigo is basing its calculations on a figure of around 25 000. This would also be a decent increase, since last year saw 18 500 trade visitors, or 36 per cent more than the year before that, arrive in the capital of Taiwan. A programme of incentives has again been launched for the 2011 event, offering a subsidiary of NTD 15 000 per fair visit. Applications are already being accepted and the programme continues until 12 August 2011. The exhibition profile consists of eight zones: tools & accessories, locks & fittings, fasteners & fittings, building supplies, garden & outdoor equipment, automotive supplies & accessories, machines & plant equipment, and safety equipment & products. A programme of special events will be offered to accompany the fair. Download:
