Germany already has two international leading trade fairs for the garden industry with the International Plant Fair IPM in Essen and Spoga+Gafa in Cologne. Nevertheless, Messe Frankfurt still sees further market potential for an additional event in the green trade sector: Together with Christmasworld - also a leading fair of undisputable international importance - as well as Paperworld and Creativeworld, the first Floradecora took to the stage at the end of January. It offered a new podium for flower growers, producers, flower wholesalers, importers / exporters, sales cooperatives and suppliers of ceramic articles and florists' requisites.
Even though there were only 67, mostly Dutch exhibitors, it was favourably acknowledged by both visitors and exhibitors. At Christmasworld and Floradecora, 43 233 visitors were recorded which means 9.7 per cent more than at Christmasworld 2016, where there was no Floradecora. A total of 1 070 exhibitors from 42 countries presented their latest products and decoration trends at these two trade fair segments.

"More visitors made their way to Frankfurt than a year ago." According to the information provided, apart from the German visitors, most buyers came from Italy, Russia, Argentina, the US and Japan, to name but a few. The reason for this: "They encounter highly complementary product ranges here - unlike at any other exhibition…
