Green products especially from DIY stores

British consumers prefer to buy their garden products from DIY retailers. Overall the segment has almost doubled in ten years

AMA Market Research estimates that the market for garden products in the United Kingdom had a volume of £ 3.8 bn (€ 6.1 bn) in the year 2001. This means that sales in this segment had risen by around 90 per cent since 1991. It was 1997 when the large-format DIY stores overtook the garden centres as the most important channel of distribution.
