Castorama’s turnover amounted to a market share of 31 per cent. Leroy Merlin took a share of 25 per cent

The three biggest DIY retail groups in France together covered 70 per cent of the market in the year 2001. This emerges from a study carried out by the manufacturers’ association UNIBAL. According to the report, Castorama’s turnover of € 3.2 bn amounted to a market share of 31 per cent. Leroy Merlin in second place took a share of 24.6 per cent with a turnover of € 2.537 bn. Bricomarché secured 14.6 per cent of DIY sales in France, which amounted to € 1.5 bn.
