The Salon du Meuble Paris and the International Furniture Fair Cologne are combining their activities in order to increase the attraction that the two furniture fairs in Paris and Cologne have for buyers coming from beyond Europe. The goal is to make better use of all potential synergies. A travel package forms the focal point of the marketing activities. The furniture fairs in Paris and Cologne in mid-January 2003 offer a launch pad for the industry worldwide, with a total of approximately 2 500 exhibitors, 1 400 of them from outside Germany and France. These will be presenting their products to more than 200 000 visitors on an exhibition space of 500 000 m².
