Home Depot intends to grow its imports

The company is opening two sourcing offices for China and Asia in Shanghai and Shenzhen

Home Depot will be opening two sourcing offices in China, to be located at Shanghai and Shenzhen. An announcement to this effect was made by Duane Goodwin, vice president, Global Sourcing, at the China International Hardware Show. China is already the source of the majority of the goods imported by Home Depot. The company intends to grow its imports to some ten per cent of the sales in its stores.
