One more candidate for Russia

Following its expansion into Portugal and China, the French DIY retailer Leroy Merlin is now planning to enter the Russian market as well. The company finds itself ranked second within Europe and sixth in the world as a whole, with a gross turnover of € 3.711 bn in the year 2001. Almost one third of this total, or € 1.167 bn, was generated abroad. This share of turnover grew by 19.8 per cent on 2000, whereas the total turnover increased by ten per cent.
