Competition for the National Hardware Show

Details about the background to the move planned for the National Hardware Show (NHS) have now been made public. AHMA (American Hardware Manufacturers Association) has terminated its trade show management agreement with Reed Exhibitions relating to the organisation of the National Hardware Show and announced it will hold its own event. AHMA will continue to sponsor and conduct the coming NHS in August 2003. Following this event, AHMA will operate its won AHMA Hardware Show in Chicago from 18 to 20 April 2004. This new industry trade show is intended to support all existing product categories within the total hardware, DIY and garden markets. Both timing and location are the options preferred by the industry, according to information from AHMA, which is also planning an extensive range of support activities.
