B&Q now lays claim to more than 13 per cent of DIY and home improvement sales in the UK
Last year B&Q, the Kingfisher group’s DIY chain, increased its share of the British DIY and RMI (repair, maintenance and improvement) market from 12.3 to 13.5 per cent. The overall market volume recorded an increase of four per cent. B&Q’s market share amounted to just 9.0 per cent in 1998, according to the group’s annual report.
