This year’s Cevisama, the Spanish ceramics fair, recorded the attendance of 84 356 visitors, or 11.7 per cent more than two years ago, who came for an update on the latest trends in the sector. The number of foreign visitors was up by 12.7 per cent for a total of 9 823. More than half of these visitors (55 per cent) were from the European Union, and 16 per cent from other parts of Europe. There was 23 per cent growth on the exhibitor side for a total of 1 193. Comparison has been made with the 2001 event because the exhibitors in 2002 also included suppliers of industrial equipment, as is the case every other year. The next Cevisama will be held from 2 to 6 March 2004.
