Although Spain’s manufacturers of tiles have stepped up their export output, the level of profit is going down

According to information from their association, Spanish tile manufacturers exported products to the value of € 2.06 bn last year. This means an increase of 3.6 per cent in export volume, which is the lowest growth rate for twelve years. The key European market accounts for a 39.1 per cent share of the export total. Sales have remained stable here. The most significant target countries are France (€ 175 mio, a plus of 3.9 per cent), Britain (€ 175 mio, a plus of 11 per cent) and Portugal (€ 129 mio, minus 3.0 per cent).
