Home Depot is repeating its DIY courses for women. The first “Do-it-herself” workshops in May attracted more than 40 000 female DIY enthusiasts. An online survey revealed that 94 per cent of those questioned were interested in further courses, and almost three-quarters said that the clinics met or even succeeded their expectations. “Women clearly have an appetite for hands-on do-it-yourself knowledge,” commented John Costello, executive vice president and marketing director, with reference to the survey. The next events are scheduled for 28th July in stores throughout the USA. The women participants will learn to apply decorative painting techniques, lay tiles and install a ceiling fan.
