John Costello is the new executive vice president merchandising at Home Depot, a position that he is taking over in addition to his responsibility for marketing. Jerry Edwards, who was previously responsible for merchandising, is now going into retirement after twelve years with the company. As executive vice president merchandising and marketing, Mr Costello is now responsible for merchandising, advertising, marketing, global sourcing and e-business. Further new appointments were made as well: the position of senior vice president décor is now filled by Bill Lennie, who has worked for Home Depot for eleven years, and senior vice president hardware has now gone to Craig Menear, who has spent six years with the company.
