The European market for electric garden tools grew by 1.6 per cent last year

The European market for electric garden tools grew by 1.6 per cent to 1.1 bn euro in 2002, according to Bosch market research. The most significant individual markets are still Germany (26 per cent), the United Kingdom (26 per cent) and France (13 per cent). The year 2002 saw the market develop slightly less strongly in Germany (-2 per cent) and in France (-1 per cent). The British market experienced above-average growth of 6 per cent. In the countries of eastern Europe, which account for a 10 per cent share of the market, the researchers came up with a growth figure of 45 per cent.
