Two of up to eight new Rona stores planned by 2004 are already under construction
Rona is planning to open between five and eight new big-box DIY stores in 2003 and 2004. A start has already been made on two new-build projects. The Canadian franchise chain has also begun construction work on a new 30 000 m² distribution centre in Calgary. One of the company’s aims in setting this up is to encourage and facilitate recruitment of new members in the west of the country. Central office is investing more than $ 70 mio (€ 47 mio) in these three current construction projects.
