In the third quarter Lowe’s achieves an increase of 23.5 per cent overall
Lowe’s has ended the third quarter with the “strongest like-for-like sales increase in the recent history of the company” in the words of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Robert L. Tillman. The sales volume of US $ 7.92 bn (€ 6.74 bn) recorded by the number two in the American and worldwide DIY markets resulted in a same-store sales increase of 12.4 per cent more than in the comparable period in 2002. Total growth came to 23.5 per cent. The company’s sales of US $ 23.9 bn (€ 20.3 bn) for the first nine months of the financial year indicate an increase of 17.4 per cent, or 6.5 per cent in like-for-like terms.
