Plans for Moscow

AVA, the German trading group, intends to open another hypermarket linked to a DIY superstore in Moscow in the year 2005. Its subsidiary company, Marktkauf Rus, already has plans to inaugurate a second shopping centre in the Russian capital in the year 2004. This means that in the following year one location with and one without a DIY store will begin operating there. According to an announcement from the group, the first Marktkauf, which has an affiliated DIY superstore and opened its doors to customers in Moscow in February 2003, will exceed its sales target of € 50 mio in the first year.
