Home Depot will close its Northwest division as a separate organisation and integrate it into the Western division. This enlarged unit will be led by Bruce Merino, who is already president of the Western division. The company expects greater operational efficiencies to result from closure of the Seattle Store Support Center. Approximately 100 jobs will go as a result of the changes. The former head of the Northwest division, Eric Peterson, is now based at headquarters in Atlanta as president, strategic markets.
