The GfK has presented figures for the most significant product categories in the DIY market

GfK Benelux has investigated the sales figures for certain product categories in terms of both volume and value for the period between February 2002 and January 2003. There are no comparable figures for the same period last year to make it possible to report on the development of the respective product categories, since this market survey is the first of its kind.
The market researchers scrutinised the following product categories: power tools, paint, adhesives and putty, fillers and levellers, coatings and pressure cleaners.
