A new name in Belgium

The Vendex group of the Netherlands, which bought the Castorama store in Courtrai when Kingfisher withdrew from Belgium last spring, will continue to operate the outlet under a new name. From March 2004 the DIY store is to be known under the name of Brico Plan-it. It is also a possibility that the six Leroy Merlin outlets acquired by Vendex might be rebadged to this new name as well. Vendex is allowed to make use of the Leroy Merlin name only until the end of 2004.
