All change in Cologne

By next spring Koelnmesse intends to present a concept for Tools Cologne, the specialist fair that will alternate with the International Hardware Fair -- Practical World in odd years and is due to commence in 2005. An announcement to this effect was made at the European trade press conference in the run-up to Practical World. The organisers are expecting 3 500 exhibitors from around 60 countries to participate in this fair, to be held in March 2004. Three-quarters of the exhibitors will come from abroad. Koelnmesse estimates that a total of around 70 000 visitors will attend the event. The estimates made in October were based on slightly higher figures.
Meanwhile, it is becoming evident that Gafa/Spoga will also be held in a two-yearly rhythm. The results of a survey of exhibitors, which will be finalised by the end of the year, are to be presented early in 2004.
