Last year Mr. Bricolage, the French DIY retail group, recorded sales of € 1.6297 bn (gross) in its 566 stores. The main trading format, Mr. Bricolage, which numbered 410 stores at the end of the year, accounted for € 1.4834 bn of the total. This amounts to an increase of 21.7 per cent, and 4.0 per cent like-for-like. After 22 new openings, 18 relocations and renovations, and the reformatting of 45 B3 and Bricogite outlets to the Mr. Bricolage concept, the overall retail area at the end of the year added up to 1.031 mio m². The 156 Catena stores with their retail area of 111 000 m² notched up sales of € 146.3 mio, or 4.3 per cent more than the previous year. The central office now runs 80 stores as corporate outlets, 73 of them in the Mr. Bricolage format and seven Catenas. Their sales came to a combined total of € 253 mio, an increase of 2.4 per cent on a like-for-like basis.
