Growth spurt in exhibitor and visitor figures expected

In Shanghai, the venue for the second Practical World Asia and China International Hardware Show (CIHS), Koelnmesse is expecting a clear growth spurt where exhibitor and visitor figures are concerned. According to an official announcement, 200 registrations have already come in for the DIY segment. Last year’s event saw around 40 companies exhibit their products and services. The two fairs held in parallel are expected to attract around 1 300 exhibitors (2003: 900) and 40 000 visitors. Exhibition space should be up to 45 000 m². The events are scheduled for 19 to 21 October 2004. From this year on, Koelnmesse is appearing as co-organiser of the CIHS as well. The follow-up contract with the China National Hardware Association (CHA) will be signed next Sunday within the framework of Practical World.
