Hopes for more internationalism at DIY

Kortrijk, too, intends to profit from Cologne’s abstinence

The organisers of DIY, the trade fair held in Kortrijk, are hoping for a boost to their attendance figures, and more internationalism above all, as a result of the lack of a Practical World in 2005. These ambitions are now to be expressed in a four-language advertising campaign (English, French and German in addition to Flemish) among other things. So far about 130 exhibitors have registered for the next DIY event, planned for 30 January to 1 February 2005. This means that around 70 per cent of the available exhibition space has already been allocated.
