The biggest store is located in Bratislava

Yesterday, Wednesday 4 August, saw the opening at Ruzinov, Bratislava, of Hornbach’s first DIY superstore in Slovakia and the company’s biggest outlet anywhere. The weighted retail area amounts to 15 796 m², with the garden centre accounting for 5 7000 m² of the total. The drive-in building materials centre comes to 8 100 m². The product range consists of approximately 70 000 articles, one-fifth of which are sourced from Slovakian suppliers. Hornbach intends to expand to five or six stores within the country. The next opening is scheduled for the spring of 2005 in Koschice.
