Launch of Ace Hardware in Greece

Ace Hardware has concluded an exclusive contract for opening Ace Hardware stores in Greece with J. & N. Pappou Partnership (O.E.), a Greek company that has operated department stores and supermarkets since 1952. The first Ace/Pappou outlet, a store over 2 300 m² in size, will open in September on the island of Rhodes. At least 15 more new openings between 2 300 m² and 7 400 m² in size are planned for the near future. With retail sales of US $ 13 bn, Ace Hardware is the largest cooperative operation in the sector and numbers among the Top 25 US retailers. Altogether 4 700 stores are affiliated to the cooperative in 71 countries.
