British housewares manufacturers are facing average price increases of 18.5 per cent. However, the BHETA (British Home Enhancement Trade Association) says that they are only able to realise a 5.8 per cent increase for their products from retailers. An internal survey reveals that all the members of the association are feeling the effects of increases in the cost of raw materials, energy, logistics, distribution and packaging. The worst hit companies are those using steel and those sourcing from China.
