Tough third quarter for Byggmax

Overall sales at the end of nine months were 5.6 per cent up on last year

At the end of a tough third quarter Swedish DIY retailer Byggmax reported sales for the first nine months amounting to SEK 2.5025 bn, or 5.6 per cent higher than last year’s figure. However, in like-for-like terms the chain recorded a decrease of 1.0 per cent. The company completed the third quarter with sales down by 0.6 per cent for a total of SEK 1.0931 bn. The decrease came to 5.7 per cent like-for-like.
