Clas Ohlson now has a store in Germany. In Hamburg, the Swedish company has opened a store with a retail space of 1 800 m² on Jungfernstieg, the busiest shopping street in the city. It offers around 10 000 products in the five product areas home, hardware, electrical, multimedia and leisure. The trading company plans two more openings in Hamburg for later this year.
"Germany is a market that we have been interested in and glanced at for many years. We see a great potential in the German market and we believe that our concept will fit the German consumer very well", says Klas Balkow, President and CEO at Clas Ohlson, about the opening.
The day after the opening, H.M. Queen Silvia of Sweden honoured the new store with a visit. She comes from Germany and is still very popular here. "She was very interested in Clas Ohlson as a company, and asked several questions regarding our product range", says Klas Balkow about the royal visit.
