"Family Garden" will be the subject of the new hortivation segment at the IPM international plant trade fair 2018 in Essen (Germany). Innovative sales ideas will be presented under this title with the emphasis on technology. It will be shown how techniques and know-how from the world of professional plant production can be applied to the end consumer's garden. Here time efficiency and sustainability will be the main theme of the presentation, which will occupy the entire fair hall 13 covering an area of 800 m².
With this initiative Messe Essen is evidently eyeing ranges that have not previously been represented at the IPM, because hortivation is open to exhibitors other than just those showing at the IPM. The organiser has also specifically invited companies from the Outdoor Living area, such as barbecue and garden furniture companies, to participate in the presentation.
In contrast to a classic fair, the focus at hortivation will not be on the breadth of range of individual companies or fair booths. The aim instead is to highlight innovative sales ideas of the exhibitors for individual plants and products in the form of POS presentations.
