Romanians discover DIY in the pandemic

Many Romanians seem to have discovered DIY for themselves in the Covid-19 pandemic. In an online survey by gabiralea.ro, 60 per cent of participants, who had previously never done any kind of DIY projects, stated that they started during the pandemic; one quarter have discovered this hobby for themselves in the last six months. This is reported by the news service bricoretail.ro. Before Covid-19, 10 per cent hadn't done any DIY work, 53 per cent had done occasionally and 36 per cent at least once a month.
However counted among DIY projects by the survey were also cooking and preserving, which was the most frequent reply at 79 per cent. This was followed by small home repairs (69 per cent), interior design (65 per cent), gardening (57 per cent), small recycling projects (49 per cent), renovating or painting furniture (43 per cent) and painting (41 per cent).
