The situation last year, the weather and the holidays slow down DIY stores in France

As in the two months before, the French DIY stores' sales statistics also show a decline in July. According to information from their industry association, they made 7.04 per cent less than in the same month of the previous year.
With regard to the "exceptional figures" of the year 2020, the association talks of a logical decline. It states that the unfavourable weather and the desire to go on holiday again after the third lockdown have also reinforced this development. However, the association emphasised in an announcement that, compared to 2019, the position of the industry continues to be absolutely positive.
