The Dutch DIY market grew by a nominal 3.4 per cent in 2023 compared with the previous year. Two product groups, electrical and sanitary, closed in the red, however (-3.4 per cent), while all others were up. At 7.2 per cent, the largest growth was recorded in the decoration sector, with construction chemicals and building materials recording the second-strongest growth.
Gardening performed below average at 3.0 per cent. These figures from the Total Store Report by market research company GfK were published by Dutch trade magazine Mix.
