Net sales for the Swedish Byggmax Group amounted to SEK 2,945 mio. (EUR 256.6 mio.) in the first half of 2024, a decrease of 6.6 per cent. In the second quarter, sales were down 5.5 per cent on the previous year, corresponding to SEK 2,082 mio. (EUR 181.4 mio.). Exchange rate effects had a positive impact of 0.2 per cent. On a like-for-like basis, sales fell by 6.7 per cent. Two new shops were opened in Mellbystrand (Sweden) and Bergen (Norway), bringing the total to 213 stores. In the home market in Sweden, sales fell by 4.9 per cent to SEK 1,548 mio. (EUR 134.9 mio.). In the other Nordic countries, the decline was 7.0 per cent (SEK 559 mio., EUR 48.7 mio.).
