The Swedish DIY group Byggmax closed the past financial year 2024 with a 2.1 per cent decline in sales. Like-for-like sales fell by 2.2 per cent. The total volume amounted to SEK 5.986 bn (EUR 520.1 mio). The company reports an e-commerce share of 18 per cent. The store network has grown by two locations to 211 stores.

The loss of sales is almost entirely due to the Swedes' international activities. While sales in the domestic market remained almost unchanged at SEK 4.378 bn (EUR 380.3 mio, -0.2 per cent), the shops in Norway, Finland and Denmark generated sales of SEK 1.669 bn (EUR 145.0 mio), 6.1 per cent less than in the previous year. 2024 sales at Byggmax are, however, showing a clear upward trend.
