Represented at the twin-track fair, which will be staged in Valencia between 19 and 21 October, will be more than 400 direct exhibitors. The range of products will cover all types of DIY and garden articles, divided into five sections: Home improvement (furniture, wood, doors, stairs, windows), kitchens & bathrooms (furniture, appliances, accessories, plumbing), hardware & electrical (fixings, tools, storage boxes, locks, electrical, furniture & door hardware, adhesives) and decorating (paint, wall coverings, flooring, housewares, lighting). Finally comes “Outdoor DIY”, which includes garden products, building materials and pools.
Eurobrico and Iberflora will occupy a space in excess of 20 000 m² in the renovated exhibition halls.
Through this combination of Iberflora with Eurobrico it is hoped to present fair visitors with a unique and comprehensive spectrum of products such has never been seen in Spain before. It is the biggest event for the DIY and garden market on the Iberian peninsula, one that covers all spheres of activity and is intended to do justice to the requirements of retailers in both sectors.
The number of garden centres in Spain has risen considerably, and the garden departments in DIY superstores are gradually becoming larger in parallel to this new development, so that they now take up around 20 per cent of the retail space.
In October over 400 exhibitors will display their DIY and garden products in Valencia.
During the fair the third hardware and DIY trade conference will be held as part of the support programme. This will give participants an opportunity to get first-hand information from those in the know. Speakers will include Cristobal Valdés (chief buyer at Leroy Merlin), Juan José Jaén (president of Bricogroup), Guillermo Leal (managing director of ATB), José Luis Beltrán (Coinfer), Ricardo Mulá (Cofac), Alejandro Ehlis (Habitacle), David Martínez de Banos (Coferdroza) and a representative of the Spanish manufacturers' association ADFB.
What is more, this year Eurobrico will provide the setting for a meeting of Fediyma.
