At this year's IPM Essen, exhibitors from around 50 countries will be providing an outlook on what the green industry can expect in the coming year from January 28 to 31. Under this year's slogan “Infinitely Green Diversity”, the horticultural fair is putting a special focus on plants, particularly in the supporting program and with new services.

In Hall 2, the new Gardeners' Forum will serve as a central point of contact for the horticultural industry, with specialist lectures, panel discussions, opportunities to exchange ideas with industry experts and “Meet & Greets”. The Gardeners' Forum is also the starting point for guided tours of exhibitors from the young plant sector. Also new: the “IPM Express”. So that gardeners in particular can take advantage of what IPM has to offer, buses will travel from the largest horticultural regions – such as the Lower Rhine – directly to the exhibition entrance and back again.

In Hall 7, the Green Cities Award will be presented for the first time – and from then on annually – at IPM Essen. The award, which has been presented by the European Nurserystock Association (ENA) for the past four years, recognizes outstanding projects for promoting green and sustainable cities in Europe. The nominees of the participating ENA member countries will present themselves at the stand of the German Association of Tree Nurseries (BdB) in Hall 7. The winner will be announced on Thursday. The program in the hall also includes the BdB seminar 'Woody plants in the water-sensitive city' and the 'Future Congress GaLaBau Outlook' by the North Rhine-Westphalia Association for Garden, Landscape and Sports Field Construction.

Other established formats will be presented on a larger scale, sometimes at different locations: The Horticulture Information Center, organized by the Central Horticultural Association and the North Rhine-Westphalia State Horticultural Association, can be found in Hall 4 in the future. The “Gärtner können es” (Gardeners Can Do It) educational show and the innovation showcase will also be located in Hall 4. The German Florists' Association (FDF) is moving to Hall 5. In addition, the workpieces from the IPM competitions will be exhibited there. The motto of the 2025 Trade Fair Cup is “A community in bloom without borders”. The IPM Discovery Center, under the direction of Romeo Sommers, will once again showcase trends for the green retail trade. The green stylist promises insights into his know-how for addressing customers…
