Whereas exhibitors from China alone are represented at the CIHS, which expects the attendance of about 1 400 suppliers, the entire international range of suppliers comes together under the umbrella of the PWA. The organisers of the PWA are reckoning with more than 100 exhibitors from 20 countries. Over half of the registrations are from first-time exhibitors. The companies come from such countries as Germany, Italy, Mexico, USA, Korea, Taiwan, Turkey and Switzerland, with the Netherlands attending for the first time as well.
On display at the PWA will be all kinds of products and services related to the home, garden and leisure sectors. These will be presented in the “World of Tools”, “World of Security, Locks and Fittings” and “World of Home Improvement”, alongside the entirely new “World of Gardening”, which will include plants, lighting, watering and ponds, as well as garden and building components.
Altogether more than 1 500 companies are expected at the CIHS/PWA event, which is over 15 per cent more than last year. They will occupy an exhibition space of just under 58 000 m² (20 per cent more than 2004) in five halls at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. Last year saw around 20 per cent of the exhibitors present products in the DIY/Home Improvement section, a figure that should be achieved again this year.
There will be 1500 suppliers represented at the coming CIHS/PWA in Shanghai.
About 38 000 visitors are expected to attend the two fairs over three days, probably from around 100 countries. The level of foreign participation should be approximately 15 per cent. Strong international visitor delegations are expected from the USA, Japan, Europe (Germany, England, Spain, Italy and eastern Europe), and from the Middle East. According to Koelnmesse, a considerably greater number of visitors have pre-registered on the internet compared with last year.
