The organisers are expecting more than 100 new exhibitors at the second Collectione Preview Spring + Summer, Frankfurt's latest consumer goods fair, from 11 to 14 June. "Many of this year's new exhibitors took a close look at the Collectione as visitors to the inaugural event in 2005, and were convinced by what they saw," is how Anja Carmanns, exhibition site manager, explains the high number of new participants. Altogether, though, the 400 exhibitors will represent 80 fewer than last year's figure. The net hall space will, however, amount to approx.30 000 m² again, since some of the exhibitors have expanded their stands compared with last year. As Ms Carmanns says, "We regard such expansion as confirmation of the Collectione concept." Seen against this background, the fair organisers regard the drop of about 80 to around 400 exhibitors as a normal process of streamlining. According to the organisers, the average size of stands at the Collectione is, at 75 m², far above that seen at Messe Frankfurt's other consumer goods fairs.
The hall layout is being altered by comparison with last year. The "Table, Kitchen & Houseware" section is moving from Hall 9.1 to Hall 10.1, where it will be presented in tandem with the Asian exhibitors. "Gifts & Season" will be occupying Hall 8 like last year; "Garden & Accessories" will be located together with "Interiors & Decoration" in Hall 9.0.
