For this new-generation Klee garden centre, which opened last October, the Roomline planning bureau of Freiburg in Breisgau and specialist builders Storeconcept of Gelnhausen, together with the operator, have developed a totally new facility adapted to changing customer requirements which offers many highlights. The company claims that sales figures for the first few months are in line with their high expectations and confirm consumers’ acceptance of this new-generation garden centre. Special features and variations in display layout include the following:
Blow-ups integrated into the racking for departmental delineation. These are designed to indicate the different product areas in a generally recognisable way and make shopping enjoyable. The goods are arranged to correspond with the background atmosphere.
Sheer pressure of products created by room-high shelf elements, which have goods stocked right up to the ceiling in line with Ikea’s successful recipe and intended to underline the operator’s competence.
Decorative wall elements that are colour-coordinated as “room within a room architecture”, providing both a view and a vision and creating a pleasant living-room ambience as a combination of backdrop and shop.
Mobile transparent display systems which allow for optimum merchandising and offer every possibility for creating seasonal departmental variations.
Aviary island landscapes offer a great number of possibilities for the presentation of bird cages of every shape and size. The goods are presented on different levels for clear viewing.
Seasonal shop elements for Christmas and Easter markets, summer fetes and children’s parties, Mothers’ or Fathers’ Day, which allow for imaginative merchandising in the appropriate atmosphere.
Modern information and advisory centres make a crucial contribution to the overall atmosphere. The counter layout invites customers to take part in a professional discussion with the sales staff and is designed according to the latest findings for motivation-enhancing work areas.
