Design is one topic that will play a central role at the 2nd European Home Improvement Forum in Paris. It is the first of four dedicated theme blocks which will determine the structure of the programme at the two-day congress on 31 May and 1 June. The Design block will be opened by Véronique Laury, commercial director of B&Q. Together with Mariann Wenckheim, partner and director at 20.20 Strategic Design Company, she will speak on “Reinventing DIY” and on new design trends in both DIY stores and packaging. The second part of the first afternoon is dedicated to the topic of Human Relations. Here the bosses of two major DIY groups – Sergio Giroldi of Obi and Régis Degelcke of Groupe Adeo – will be among those voicing their opinions. Day two is entirely dedicated to two thematic trends that are currently preoccupying the industry. Speakers on the subject of the potential offered by the gardening business for retailers will include Frédéric Sambourg, president home improvement at Bricomarché and Bricocash. The Multi Channel theme block will complete the programme with a look somewhat farther afield at the fashion retailer Tiger of Sweden. Download:
