Trend shows and awards at Ambiente Ambiente expects 4 500 exhibitors to participate in the event from 15 - 19 February 2013. They will occupy 27 levels of the halls on the Frankfurt am Main exhibition site, showing their new products in the categories of table top, kitchen and housewares, gifts and decoration, plus lifestyle concepts and interior design accessories. These are structured in three fair segments: Dining, Giving and Living. This year's partner country is France, under the motto "la France un art de vivre". A number of competitions are to be included within the supplementary programme. For instance, the German Design Award will be presented at this key consumer goods exhibition. One of the special areas will show the "Ambiente Trends 2013", broken down into four overall trends: "blossom field", "classic ground", "eccentric domain" and "contrasting sphere". Change of fair venue The Taiwan Hardware Show is changing its venue. The 13th trade fair in this series will be held in Taichung, around 150 km south of the capital Taipeh. On display here in the Greater Taichung International Expo Center will be the eight traditional product categories: tools, locks and fittings, fasteners, building equipment, garden and outdoor, automotive, machinery and workshop equipment, and security systems. Dates: 21 - 23 October 2013. CIHS migrates to November This year the China International Hardware Show (CIHS) in Shanghai will be moved to another date, bringing it into November. Although it was originally announced that the fair would be shifted by just one day, it is now due to be staged from 26 to 28 November 2013. This means that the succession of days is being changed for a second time: it will now run from a Tuesday to a Thursday.
