The Nespoli Group regards itself as Europe’s leading supplier of tools for painters and decorators and, in addition, runs companies in product segments that cover special-purpose tools, mechanical domestic cleaning, waxes and oils, plus spray paint. The manufacturing machinery is developed and produced in a factory which also belongs to the group. Nespoli was founded in 1945 and is 100 per cent family-owned. Its chief location is in Cantú, Italy, and it is managed by Luigi and Alessandro Nespoli. The company, which achieved sales of some € 330 mio in 2012, has 82 production lines and a combined production area of 200 000 m² in Germany, Italy, Spain, France and China. Its production capaci­ty amounts to more than 150 mio units per year, while it employs a workforce of around 1 900, of whom approximately 500 are in Germany (with sales of about € 130 mio). The 2011 acquisition by Nespoli Germany GmbH of the Noelle Group, which is headquartered in Sprockhövel, Wuppertal, contributed to a further consolidation of the group’s market position. “In addition the takeover has had a positive effect on the company in terms of distribution and the range of products on offer,” says managing director Michael Reuter. The plan for the future of the German base is to pursue a new orientation within the company. This year should see the merging of the two companies in a process that will result in retaining both locations, one in Dinkelsbühl (central Franconia), and the other in Sprockhövel. The goals here include standardization in the areas of EDP, monitoring and management systems, plus document archiving and the transport system. The company is now divided into four new spheres of responsibility which are based on the key areas of painting and decorating tool sales, household products sales, export sales, and services (a major division covering finance, personnel, EDP, logistics and production). “For Nespoli Germany the objective of this reorganisation is to achieve continuity in customer treatment and care.” says Michael Reuter. The company is determined to guarantee its aspiration to offer a full consumer-oriented line of products to meet all possible demands in each of the categories by means of its own controlled production facilities. Moreover, through close cooperation with the coatings industry, an optimum symbiosis of paint and tools is assured long before a new coating is launched.
