Wenko convinces with Vacuum Loc

Solutions that offer customers the possibility to mount bathroom accessories without drilling have been gaining in importance over the years and has seen strong growth in the do-it-yourself sector. Consequently Wenko has been working on mounting solutions that do not require any drilling for a long time. “We have achieved a pioneering role in this sector and are market leaders with a wide range of various systems for mounting without drilling”, said Niklas Köllner, managing director. The latest innovation, a vacuum system, convinced the readers of the specialist magazine diy as they voted the Vacuum-Loc system Best Product 2013/2014 in the construction category. The Vacuum-Loc system was perfected after a long development process. Wenko emphasises that its persuasive feature is its extremely strong grip. With the help of a small hand pump which comes with the product, air is sucked out of a wall adapter and leaves a vacuum behind. This ensures a strong grip on all permeable and also uneven surfaces. “A Vacuum-Loc adapter can withstand a tensile load of 33 kg”, Köllner emphasised.
The new range includes hooks, hairdryer-holders or storage baskets that can be simply hooked in the adapter and used directly. In addition the accessory articles can be removed easily from the wall leaving no residue and can be used again and again.

A further approach in highlighting the subject of mounting without drilling is a new 8-in-1 concept that has been specially designed for smaller markets. The 8-in-1 means that there are two series of wires and four different mounting systems integrated in just one module. The starter price series, Classic, is made of chrome-plated steel while the higher priced Premium series is made of rust-proof stainless steel. Both series can be mounted in four different ways. “The customer can choose how the product should be mounted”, said Köllner. Drilling is one option as the screws are included or there are three adapters to choose from, where no drilling is necessary. Wenko offers the following systems: Power-Loc for adhesion, the adhesive pad system Turbo-Loc for sticking as well as the already described Vacuum-Loc system.
