The organisers of the 3rd Global DIY Summit 2015 in London have managed to attract three more prominent speakers from the industry. Robert A. Niblock, Chairman and CEO of Lowe’s, Véronique Laury, Group CEO of Kingfisher since December, and Robert (Bob) Moschorak, President and General Manager of Ace Hardware International, have agreed to give speeches, as was announced by the DIY Trade and Manufacturers’ Associations Edra and Fediyma. The CEO of Edra, John Herbert, commented that, “This congress, together with such excellent speakers, is the absolute climax of that which we have achieved since our first successful congress in Vienna in 2010”.
Amongst other topics on the programme is a podium discussion on the subject of “The home improvement store of tomorrow” with Véronique Laury, Sergio Giroldi, CEO Obi, John Gillam, CEO Bunnings, Hartmut Jenner, CEO Kärcher, and John F. Lundgren, CEO Stanley Black & Decker.
The international industry event promises to beat the previous participant record from last year. Around 700 participants – including the top management of the biggest DIY operators in North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australia – from over 40 countries around the world will be represented at the congress, taking place from 11 to 12 June.
